I grew up on St. Simons Island and moved to Atlanta after graduating from UGA in 2006. I've been working in the tax department at Jamestown Properties for four years, and last summer I began graduate school at Richmont University. I plan to graduate in 2012 with a master's degree in marriage and family therapy.
Since college, my life and thoughts have been all over the board. I've had career crises, lots of highs and lows, and learned a TON about myself. This blog is a way to track my thoughts on God and life. There will be lots of entries on God, counseling, hobbies, and the oh-so-exciting life of a single, full-time employee and student. And I'll post lots of pics of my 1 year old nephew to increase the cuteness factor of my blog by 100%.
I love trying different things and having lots of hobbies. I dont have an artistic bone in my body but my creative outlets have included a variety of things from photography to piano to cross stitching to jewelry making. Thats right. I'm sure I'll write about these things at some point because I want to pursue (some of) these hobbies again! I have a weird obsession with gadgets, compartments, and gear. I also have an athletic side and I love the great outdoors! I dont know how I ended up in a cubicle. I love enjoying nature and being outside. Currently my favorite sport is snow skiing, and I would love to live out west for a ski season.
